Core funding for OYO is provided by The Ministry of Health Social Services (MoHSS), Government of the Republic of Namibia, through the Global Fund for HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, and the Humanist Institute for Cooperation with Developing Nations (HIVOS). Together these funders provide more than 50% of OYO's annual income.
The Humanist Institute for Cooperation with Developing Countries (HIVOS) has been OYO’s most faithful partner since 2003. It helped OYO to grow from a 5 staff project to a 21 staff Trust. It supports OYO’s lead activities, special projects and core expenses.

The French Service for Cooperation and Cultural Affairs (SCAC) supported three of OYO’s projects in 2009: the creation and first tour of the monologues ‘we were young’, the preparation of the dance show ‘fallen mask’ for the National Theatre and the OYO Youth Festival.
The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) contracted OYO in 2009 to implement a drama training programme for out-of-school youth in Vyf-Rand, Okahandja, helping them to understand and address issues of HIV/AIDS, teenage pregnancy and Sexual and Reproductive Health.
Medicos del Mundo (MdM) supported OYO in the Kunene Region, sponsoring drama workshops for the Outjo and Khorixas groups as well at the Kunene Exchange Programme.
VSO/PSO is a two-years programme (2009-2010) aiming at strengthening OYO’s structure. The programme sponsors training for OYO staff (monitoring and evaluation, computer literacy for all staff, conflict management, etc.). It will also support the touring of the Still Life Exhibition in Namibia in 2010.
The Royal Embassy of the Netherlands supported in 2009 the preparation and printing of the OYO magazine on Orphans and Vulnerable Children, including street-kids and child-headed households.
The Valentine Charitable Trust is a UK-based Trust that supported in 2009 the preparation and printing of the OYO magazine on Stigma and Discrimination
The Embassy of the Peoples Republic of China in the Republic of Namibia supported in 2009 the preparation and printing of the OYO magazine on Orphans and Vulnerable Children, including street-kids and child-headed households.
The Isle of Gigha Heritage Trust is raising funds to support OYO’s community outreach programme in 2010.
The National Arts Council of Namibia (NACN) sponsored in 2009 the Walls and Words Project in Khorixas.
The Namibian Planned Parenthood Association (NAPPA) contracted OYO in 2009 to develop the issue of the OYO magazine on teenage pregnancy, abortion and adoption, and create and tour the dance show ‘together’. It also supported the OYO Youth Festival.
