For the first time this year the annual report is available online! Please, have a look at all the activities we undertook in 2009, check what participants and audiences have to say about our reach and learn more about OYO.
During 2009, OYO continued with some of its core activities, such as the OYO, young, latest and cool magazine (with a record print run of over 23 000 copies for the issue on teenage pregnancy, abortion and adoption), regional tours with youth group members and the OYO festival. It also embarked on a theatre project, We were young, that was presented to over 23 800 people, and two international exchanges with its dance troupe (one with Faster-than-light company from Berlin and one with Fuzzylogic from the UK). The Walls and words project continued in Khorixas, the Kunene Xchange Programme, a new initiative with the Regional HIV/AIDS Coordinating Committee (RACOC) and Medicos del Mundo (MdM), was initiated, and the photographic exhibition Still life was presented in South Africa, Lesotho, Swaziland and the UK.
Those are just some of the highlight. We would like to take this chance to thank all our sponsors and partners who have made 2009’s achievements possible. OYO received financial support for its activities in 2009 from:
